Why Natives?

Native plants support pollinators, conserve water, reduce maintenance, and provide critical habitat for birds and wildlife in Central Texas. Because native species evolved here, they are naturally adapted to our soils, climate, and weather extremes.

Planting natives can create a more sustainable landscape while also supporting butterflies, birds, bees, and other wildlife. In many cases, native plants require less fertilizer, less irrigation, and less long-term maintenance than non-native ornamentals.
