Cooper’s Hawk

Common year-round resident throughout Georgetown, Williamson County, and much of Texas. Fierce and fearless predator of other birds, the longer tail and aggressive habits distinguish it from Red-shouldered and other hawks. Immature birds more commonly seen than adults.
